The first candies I made were something called Opera Caramels.  A friend and I discovered them in a cookbook when we were bored one summer day.  My love for candy-making was born.  When I was a little older, I made some chocolate peanut butter balls that my dad adored. I was hooked. From there I taught myself a new candy every Christmas. I tried my hand at fudge, cream cheese mints, truffles, chocolate covered cherries, caramels, salted nut rolls and even homemade marshmallows!

After a while, I decided to give community education a try and taught an assortment of different classes in seven areas. I learned more with every class.  I also taught afterschool classes for the Wayzata district...everything from cookie decorating to candy making to International Celebrations. I loved working with kids and the idea for Sweet Wishes was born. 

Now Sweet Wishes is my dream come true and I'm so pleased to introduce it to the Twin Cities area. I hope you'll give it a try for your next birthday party or just for a gathering of your friends. I think you'll be glad you did!
